The Fantasy:
Millennia ago, five gods stole pieces of magic from their brothers and sisters to bestow unto the people of D'Vania, along with their own powers. Three of them died in one point of the process or another, all of them around the same land.
The Goddess of Life, who gave all of herself for the people and the place she'd created.
The God of Death, who lost trying to bring Her back.
And the God of the Skies; the Current of the world which binds all things together in balance.
The world they gave their magic and lives for has been bastardized in pieces. To those too entrenched in how it is told rather than how it truly was, D'Vania became Divania. Magic became majick. And so their story...it was lost.
For a time.
The Romance:
The story of those gods is rebirthed as they are, into the most powerful Fae of 'Divania'.
Thus begins the sort of tumultuous, beautiful, heart-wrenching love story you'll wish you could read again for the first time, for years after you finish.
To avoid spoiling who winds up with whom, I'll instead share a brief synopsis of each POV as they are in the beginning. While the series begins with three, you have seven by the end:
Althea Cardenia: human princess, and healer who has a crush on a gray-eyed castle server.
Dion Evestre: spy and emissary for the Fae High King.
Ciaragen Vey: shadow-wielding bodyguard who does not like the spy visiting her court.
Adathan Zale: kidnapping afficionado, growling expert, calloused hands.
Emelina Dove: one-armed badass with sass, super duper softy.
Atlas Malik: gray-eyed castle server who would put the words of Marcia Griffiths to shame.
Olin Evestre: villain is actually villain, I promise.
